1) This is a playing game for them to shoot. Infront of it, we have a boottle cap holding all the balls. They will just have to take the balls and shoot onto the sun. This is just for them to play.
2) There is another one game similar to this. It is the basketball. They also take the ball from the bottle cap and soot it into the basket. Thats all.
3) Okay obviously this is a tree house. Buti know it sure looks horrendous. Okay there is a small door below for the children to just go inside the house to stay in there to chat or do wad they like inside.
4) This is the tic tac toe game. The mat below is meant for the decorations. It is a smiley face actually. We just cut the faces and paste the game on it.
5) As we have seen from the previous post, this is the therapy bridge. When children come here, they might fall down. So we have specially put the soft mat below for them for their safety reason.
6) Okay this is the golden room. There is a bulletin board inside for them to doodle if there is nothing else for them to do at the playground. The box of the colourful thing is actually the poster colours for them to use to doodle.

Alright the pictures here are the final constructions. There are more pictures such as the basketball, the small are using the disc and the bottle cap. Will try to upload the pictures inbut if the internet doesn't want to work then i have no idea wad to do.
Alright people the deadline is almost up! Please try to do yr powerpoint slides. As for the construction, it is already done. So we wont be touching on that anymore. I really hope all of you is actively involved in this project. Thank you.

Okay, so far we have some rough ideas of what to design. We would be able to complete it by next week. We will have to meet and do during one of the weekdays. We have done some of the equipments.The materials would be :
1) Ice creams sticks.
--> This will be in coloured and plain ones. For the coloured one, we will be using it to build the
play room or a corner. As for the non coloured ones, we will be using it for the fence.
2) Water bottle
--> This will be use for the tunnel. We will cut the bottle until the body part is left. We'll make
it open spaced so that it is easier for the wheel chair to go in. Inside there, there will be
pictures for them to look at. It is a way of relaxing themselves too.
3) Corrugated board
--> This is just basically used for the base.
4) Disc
--> This is used to make the round thing where the wheelchair can go up. They are able to sit
there and chat or take a rest.
Okay i think that is what we are using now. If there is anymore, i'll update it as soon as i can.
This is what we have done on the 16 of april
in class. It is not completed yet.We still have
a treehouse to add in so that it wont look so
plain.
Okay, now i'm going to tell what are the different equipments. As you can see, there is a sign that says playground. It is made up of ice cream sticks. Behind it there is something like a bridge. But that is not a bridge. It is a place for them to do therapy. They can exercise their legs there. Beside it is a round area. It is made using a disc. We used colour paper to cover it up. Beside it is a mini game. It is a tic tac toe game. It is made using straws. (bubble tea type) There is a red corner there. It is meant to be a golden room. We will paint it golden. Inside it we will put pictures and many other things. Thats the brief discription of our playground.

Jasmine here.Since the only people who are allowed to use the computer would be Shirley and me, i've taken on Minjun's role to be Research I/C and yep.

k so this playground has its good and bad points and I'm gonna tell you what.
good points:
SOFT GROUND.
and you can also see that the paths linking the different "blocks" together is flat ground. easy to move about on wheelchair right?k good point number 2.
bad points:
look at the facilities. how are they going to play?

k this playground over here is a tad bit better than the first.
oh and when I was browsing through google, i realised that wheelchair-bound people can actually play the slide IF THERE'S SOMEONE AROUND LOOKING AFTER THEM.
anyway.
good point is the same as playground 1. but realise that there is actually a slide that isn't very steep.
so its not very dangerous. so who knows, they might be able to play it right? :)

this is the only playground i've found that is adapted for physically handicapped.
not stated how handicapped but well,
i guess we still can get abit of ideas here.

Researchphysically disabled children , Main focuse , legs .
-->Why they will have disability with their legs .
1) They might have hurt their leg when they were young . [When they are playing or etc . ]
2) They were born handicapped .
3) They might be involved in some kind of accident , hence , lose the use of their legs .
--> Playground in tampines :
1st playground :
- It has a rubber floor , when children fall down , they won't get hurt that easily .
- It is very colourful , it has many attractive things to play with .
- Many children will be attracted to it .
2nd Playground :
- It has a shelter over the playground . This is quite good as the chilren won't get sunburn when they are playing under the hot sun for a very long time .
- It has monkey bars , many slides that are very attractive .
- When the sun is very bright , the playground won't be very hot .
3rd playground :
- Has many sections .
- It is in a open space .
- The playground will be very hot when the sun is very bright .
--> Those are some pictures of playground in Tampines .
Though they are very attractive , most of them look alike . It is very common evrywhere . They also dont have special things that cater to those children that are physically disabled .
Our group have come up with a playground that will cater to the needs of those children that are physically disabled .
